Dual Proc's working?

I just installed FC2 on my dual AMD MP 2100 machine. However, I am very new to Linux and it appears to only see one processor, I've checked system monitor, but it only has one of the processors on it. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW. If someone could help me find/enable my second processor, it would be greatly appreciated.

run

Code:
 uname -a
&

Code:
cat /proc/cpuinfo
and post what you have back.

When you boot up, do you have 2 kernels to choose from?

default kernels are:

Fedora Core (2.6.5-1.358smp)
Fedora Core-up (2.6.5-1.358)

You should see those when you first boot, choose smp.

The default kernel provided is a uni-processor kernel, there is an SMP kernel you can install that will use both processors.

Not sure where you'll find it in the GUI package manager, but it will be kernel-smp. If you can't find it there, then as root find the kernel-smp rpm on your Fedora Core CDs or do a yum install kernel-smp to download and install the latest (grabbing the latest may be a good idea anyhow).

I have four versions of thekernel, really two releases each of regular and smp, and I am running smp. They obviously are both there, but how do I view them in system monitor?

I almost forgot, my Intellimouse Explorer only uses the top buttons and the wheel, I read somewhere how to change it, and when I edited xorg.conf to do just that, I rendered my computer unbootable, at least for someone who was unable to revert the file to its orginal state using bash commands...
