I have been using a Thinkpad 600E since Red Hat 9. In most versions, including Fedora 8, I have ultimately been able to get everything to work except the integral modem, but every upgrade has been difficult. Sound, in particular, is consistently a problem because the wrong kernel modules get loaded (see my previous posts). In the past video has also been tough, but those problems seem to be easing. Basically, unless you have a large appetite for fiddling, a Thinkpad 600E is not adequately supported by Fedora, in my opinion.
