geforce 9800gt video card

I'm having problems finding and installing drivers for my video card (at least I think I need the drivers). When I run my dvi through the motherboard the monitor works fine but when I run it through my video card I get nothing. I'm also not able to run videos online (youtube) but I've installed java and adobe updates. Not sure if those are related problems? Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Thanks

i have a gf 9800gtx+ which works fine with the kmod-nvidia from rpmfusion.
also i don't think the flash problem is related. which browser do you use? did you install the flash-plugin from the adobe repository?

I'm using mozilla for my browser and I have installed the plug-in from adobe. I also downloaded the drivers from rpmfusion:

kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.15-170.c.24.fc10.x86_64-180.29-1.fc10.x86_64
kmod-nvidia-180.29-1.fc10.x86_64

which again work fine for the motherboard connecting straight to monitor but not from the 9800 to monitor. Do I need different drivers?

working with your guide now oz - will post results

Thanks

Used code from signature and results:

Parsing package install arguments
Package kmod-nvidia-180.29-1.fc10.x86_64 already installed and latest version
Package matching xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs-180.29-1.fc10.x86_64 already installed. Checking for update.
Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs.i386 0:180.29-1.fc10 set to be updated
--> Processing Dependency: xorg-x11-drv-nvidia = 180.29-1.fc10 for package: xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs-180.29-1.fc10.i386 from rpmfusion-nonfree-updates has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: xorg-x11-drv-nvidia = 180.29-1.fc10 is needed by package xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs-180.29-1.fc10.i386 (rpmfusion-nonfree-updates)
Error: Missing Dependency: xorg-x11-drv-nvidia = 180.29-1.fc10 is needed by package xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs-180.29-1.fc10.i386 (rpmfusion-nonfree-updates)

When I try to install xorg-x11-drv-nvidia....it's already installed. Nothing to do.

Advice for that?

Thanks
