Well, since the fine folks at Fedora addede KDE 4.2 into their repository, i decided to give it a try. I don't mean to start a flame war here, but I have tried every release of KDE sinc 1.0, and I never really cared for them. When Gnome 1.0 came out, I preferred it to anything that KDE had to offer.
So, in order to give it a whirl, I did a yum groupinstall of kde AND a yum groupremove of gnome, so I didn't have a crutch to fall back on.
Well, after 2 weeks I decided to go back to Gnome using the same procedure of groupremove of kde and groupinstall of gnome.
It worked well enough, but my administration menu was pretty much empty except for User and groups. I had to add networkmanager-gnome from the command line to get onto my wireless and then had to install gnome-packagekit.
So, my question is, what else is in the administration menu and what are the names of packages?
Any help greatly appreicated...
Andy
PS: Please no flames about me leaving KDE behind. It was a fine product, just not for me.
