F10, Kde 4.2, 64 bit, yum to install Firefox 3.0.6 shows gnome files in dependencies.

Hi Everyone!

System was fully operational, working well. Decided to give gnome a try. After trying gnome a few minutes, it renewed my faith in Kde. Uninstalled the gnome desktop using yumex. This removed firefox 3.0.6 also. Now attempting "yum install firefox" I get a list of 12 dependencies. I expect to get 2. I expect xulrunner and firefox itself.

Dependencies indicates:
PolicyKit gnome
fedora-gnome-theme
fedora-icon-theme
gnome-mount
gnome-themes
gnome-vfs2
libgnome
libnotify
notification-daemon
notification-daemon-engine-nodoka
xulrunner

I attempted "yum clean all" and then ran "yum install firefox" that had no impact. The dependencies are still the same.

Not a problem, I just didn't realize that Firefox was dependent on so many Gnome based libraries until I'd removed Gnome. I re-installed Firefox with the dependencies and all is well once again. I definitely prefer Firefox. I can import and export all my settings transparently from Windows to Fedora to Kubuntu and back to Windows with Firefox.
