Sorry about a double post but i got no repsonce in x86-64. I have a duo core 2 x86-64 bit laptop. The battery drain is pretty bad. I get about an hour running fedora 10 on the batt. My friend told me to use powernowd to help scale the cpu and help with the power drain. I know another guy that said he gets about 4 hours battery life on windows vista and i know linux shoulnd't drain as much as windows.
I found out that the only support for cpufreq on yum is for i386 so i need help to go in thr right direction with either getting powernowd running on my duo core or get a dif program that helps with the bat drain and power usage.
