mount: error mounting /dev/root on /sys/root as ext3: no such file or directory

Hi,

Unable to access resume device (UUID=....)
mount: error mounting /dev/root on /sys/root as ext3: no such file or directory

this error prevents my fedora 10 to boot.
It happened after update to 2.6.27.12-170.2.5.
Trying to reinstall it it says that partition table couldn't be read and the new one would be inicialized which would of course cause the loss of all data.
Anyone knows how to fix it?
Thx
