How to Install Fedora 8 with DELL Optiplex 755?

I have a Fedora 6 in DELL Optiplex 755. When I installed Fedora 8, I got the following error message:

"An unhandled exception has occurred. This is most likely a bug. Please
save a copy of the detailed exception and file a bug report against
anaconda at http://bugzilla.redhat.com"
> > > > >
This error message is from action of screen: "Installation requires
partitioning of your hard drive. By default, a partitioning layout is
chosen which is reasonable for most users. You can either choose to use
this or create your own."
> > > > >
I chose: "Remove Linux partitions on selected drives and create default
layout" or

I chose other options, but I still got same error message.

Then I switched to a new HHD, but I still got the same error message.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Fedora 8 has hit end of life, so you're probably better off trying with either 9 or 10. (Don't do 10 if you have a SCSI drive, it won't boot after installation, though there are some workarounds. Known bug, though not mentioned in release notes.)

The application which I will use is based on Fedora 8. I need to install Fedora 8 for it. After I switched the new HHD, I can install windows or Fedora 6, but not Fedora 8. By the way, I can install the Fedora 8 in Sony VGC-BR30 PC with the Fedora 8 DVD. For some reasons, I still can not install Fedora 8 into the Dell Optiplex 755. Have anyone met this issue before? Your help would be appreciated very much.
