Gnome Color Chooser

Sorry for all the questions and posts, but Im not familiar with any form of Linux at all. I would definately consider myself a WIndows Power User. Ive always been taught the best way to learn is to ask questions so here I am again.

I want to install Gnome Color Chooser so I can edit the task bars text colors and what not. I have Compiz Fusion and Screenlets ready to go as well as my NVIDIA driver installed.

I cant find the latest version pre-packaged as a .rpm. How do I install it from a .tar.gz?

I get an error that says it died in the Berkely DB.

I followed that link. This is what happened.

It finished to 100% in about 2 seconds. When I click AutoTen in the system tools I get an error window that says:

Could not launch menu item. Failed to execute child process "-x" (No such file or directory)

I tried uninstalling it in the add/remove software and reinstalling it and it didnt work.

I have Autoten installed but it does not include gnome-color-chooser...

I attached a screen shot of my autoten GUI...


are there any repositories out there that might have an RPM version?
