the symptoms you describe hardly qualifies the mal-ware you are having to deal with as "spy-ware"...it seems that , what you are facing is an ad-ware...but infact , it isnt really an ad-ware either...

...it just one of those annoying pop-ups!!
thats why i simply use opera...
spy-bot would be absolutely useless on linux...all spy-bot would do is scan your .wine/drive_c directory in your /home/<your username>
but i wouldn't be worried about spy-wares or ad-wares on a linux with SELinux...in permissive mode...
its one of linux's specialities...
