Of course they match - you both got them from the same place. RedFedora has just as much "right" to use it as you do. There's an old Usenet proverb, based on an old saying: Pot. Kettle. Black.

see the thing is... i have modified it, it used to be an animated gif, along with other changes, have contributed to it becoming my intellectual property
without my written consent he has no right to use it
if he were to take mine and modifiy it further, then i would have no problem with what he has done

Do you have written consent from RedHat to use it? The "man in the hat" is their intellectual property.

This may be the silliest thing I've come across in a long time. However, if you feel
better knowing you are the only one with a "customized" RedHat Icon, I'll help you out.
I do hope that no one points out that my new penguin avatar is the exact same one that
comes with every kernel source.

This discussion is really on topic right now...
Picomp, you can PM to RedFedora next time you have similar problems.

i have absolutely NO problem with you using the red-hat icon itself, but when i see something that is the exact same as mine, both visually, and every bit of the file is in the same position (md5sum) is when i get angry
just customize it a little bit so everyone can tell the difference
that is the point of an avatar, to have something that is different (i am aware that my icon is not incredible innovative) every little bit helps though

changed Avatar

Okay, I have changed my avatar. Yes, it is a red hat. However, I can assure you
that it is different from yours. You may, of course, perform your valted md5sum
check on it to prove this.

what pisses me off the most about this whole thing is that RedFedora has posted 11 times!
no longer an active user yet he insists on stealing my icon
if he were active then i wouldnt be very angry
i dont like it when people criticize others when they have no room to do it, if he would bloody contribute then by all means steal my icon exact md5sum or not!
