Display problem

The answer may be here somewhere but have been unable to find it. Running F10 with GeForce 6200 nvidia card using the 180.xx driver from RPMFusion, when come out of screen saver all icons missing from desktop as well as panels. Sometime by hitting Ctrl>Alt>Backspace the panels may come back but usually have to restart to get everything working right again. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this problem?
Not completely unbearable but is kind of a P.I.T.A.

This can be generally due to the video momentarily resetting resolution. The resolution problem is in turn caused by weak power supply, poor electrical source or corrupt video card driver. Try re-installing driver or power supply.

Power supply six months old 400 watts, driver just installed from rpm fusion as I've just put the Nvidia card back in computer. Video card purchased from Newegg in November 08. Also had problems with display using the open chrome video on motherboard, then xscreen saver would hang.
