Question Missing text, need font

Does anyone know which font the newest version of Wine needs to render text? Any help would be appreciated.

You can use winetricks to install the MS core fonts as well as other stuff.

Thanks for trying to help. I ran Wine tricks and it didn't fix the font issue. then I Googled till my eyes hurt and found out it's a known bug. It affects systems running the legacy nv drivers and that they have known about it for a long time (bugzilla) with no fix ever taking place. The workarounds I've found don't work on my system. So I guess I'll have to wait till I can afford to upgrade my card and try again.

Thanks again....

There is a workaround to your problem.
just put the following in a file called settings.txt and then run regedit settings.txt.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\X11 Driver]
"ClientSideWithRender"="N"

works for me :-D
