kernel-2.6.29.rc3 for F10 in koji

2.6.29-0.6.rc3.fc10.i686 #1 SMP Thu Jan 29 23:06:39 EST 2009 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

The 28 kernel crashed when I rebooted and the new bash deleted my /bsh/.historyfile.
Xorg crashs once in awhile during Gnome start up but keeps going.

Otherwise it is running good.

2.6.29-0.6.rc3.fc10.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Jan 29 22:44:40 EST 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Just installed it myself, along with Leigh's new Nvidia driver. Didn't have any of your issues. So far its running very well.

If you are running the 2.6.29-0.6.rc3.fc10.i686 kernel (in F10)
then these new packages from F11 (rawhide) work in F10

lvm2-2.02.44-1.fc11.i386.rpm (lvm2, device-mapper, device-mapper-libs, uuidd)

e2fsprogs-1.41.4-2.fc11.i386.rpm(e2fsprogs, e2fsproga-libs)

Yes, about every third kernel seems to become production for the world, except Fedora.
I guess the testing was all Fedora needed to step on to the next.

However F10 does have 2 kernel update paths now
2.6.27 - which eventually gets into updates
and
2.6.29 that stays in koji(I don't think this is in updates-testing and I think the 2.6.28 is history)

But I'm not complaining, I like the 29 kernel in F10 and those packages above have some good fixes.

lol, so far that seems the case.
But we have get btrfs on raid10 or risk failing geek test 3.

there isnt/wasnt much point putting the 2.6.28 kernel in f10 since there probably wasnt many more major differences between the .27 an the .28 . so its easier for them to just use a stable .27 but just bump up the number of the .27 till the .29 kernel becomes stable

File a detailed bug report here, but first search existing bugs for a similar issue:
