XFree86 fatal server error: no screens found

Installed Fedora Core 1 on my Shuttle PC AMD 2600+, Nforce2, ATI 9600. The Anaconda graphical install work fine. The computer rebooted and I did the licensing. Next X-Windows loaded fine. I played with it for a while. But after rebooting X-Windows won't load and I get an error: VESA BIOS not detected. Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration. Fatal server error: no screen found. I tried changing the driver from 'VESA' to 'radeon'. Please help me get X-Windows working.

This may not help but if you have a knoppix CD that boots ok into graphical mode you can copy the X config file (i forget what it is called i think it might be /etc/X11/config corect me if i am wrong) from the knoppix to your hard drive. i have done this before in core 1

I tried copying the file from knoppix. No luck. Any other suggestions?
