Question Reboot/shutdown hangs
I just started haveing an issue with my Fedora 8 system. When I shutdown or reboot my system just hangs when it gets to:
"Unmounting File Systems:"

It hangs there forever. This just started happening recently. Any Suggestions on what I can do to fix this issue?

I have a similiar issue. When I reboot my computer, it comes up to a blank prompt. It does not even go through GRUB. Its ok, when I shutdown the computer and then boot it up.

Check the virtual consoles (Alt-F2/F3/F4 etc) for errors.

No there are no other error messages on any other virtual console
