Old Sony Vaio PCG-Z505HE & Fedora 10

Trying to put Fedora 10 on an old sony vaio. Hardware meets minimum requirements for Fedora 10, but when I try to boot from Live CD, I get a strange error that tells me

'Warning: Cannot find root file system'

then it says something about creating /dev/root and then exiting the shell to continue the boot.

So, i'm not even trying install it yet, just trying to get it to boot from the cd. I'm trying the liveusb option, perhaps that will work. Will keep this updated!

I'm trying to install F10 on an old desktop and having trouble with the "full install DVD"
see thread I started 30 min ago
I also tried the LiveCD and had the same problem you describe
