no, it isn't because of geographical regions; but it's for flash reasons

Well then fix it

I installed :
1. netscape-flash.
2. nspluginwrapper.

Here's how the process tree looks:

Code:
|-mozilla-launche---firefox-bin-+-npviewer.bin---6*[{npviewer.bin}]
| `-7*[{firefox-bin}]
Maybe this link will help
http://macromedia.mplug.org/

(and I'm using Gentoo)

I like the story about the guy who posted the pic on twitter, minutes after the incident and long before CNN etc had even found the plane!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7834755.stm

We've just got CNN on freeview here in the UK (free-to-air digital tv), so CNN's profile is gonna increase over here, not sure if that's good or bad, but it's always nice to have a choice, especially if it's free.

As for the possiblity of A Flock Of Seagulls being involved in the incident, well that would have been some story

Two days before US Airways Flight 1549 landed in the Hudson River, the same plane had experienced problems, CNN reported on January 19. That plane also was Flight 1549 -- also taking off from LaGuardia to Charlotte, North Carolina, but on January 13.

No - but I have an advantage over you .. I can read accurately and correctly impute meaning. I can select adjectives that match a reasonable meaning.

Enough skill for bystanders to claim it to be normal landing.
Lookup the word "normal" for future reference. You and the bystander are language impaired.

Edit: Imaginative because he thought of landing the plane in(on?) a river as if it was a runway.
Well obviously, clearly NOT as it if was a runway. And imaginative as opposed to what ? He had ZERO alternatives. It was the obvious solution even to a moron, not something imaginative. What do you think an UNimagnative pilot would have done - landed on a city street or tried to nose into the water at 250mph ? Your adjectives don't fit the facts. Further he was trained in water landing during his military training if not again later.

Sigh, folks, can't we keep it nice? Thread closed, because I have a headache. One of these days, one of you folks are going to get into an argument and I'm going to not only close the thread, but first edit your post so that it says something like, Wow, you're right. I'm sorry I was rude. Henceforth, I will try to be nicer. I'm sorry, that's a really good observation, can't believe I missed it. As the thread will be closed, it will be on file forever.

I'm only half kidding about that. There's no reason for this.
