Echo Icon Theme Perspective Starting
Hi, as some of you might know, we are starting new version of the Echo Icon Theme which will be more consistent with upstream defaults (gnome-icon-theme and oxygen). So we put together some initial designs to decide which way we'll go in the future. And we'd like to hear your opinion about them! Please vote for your favourites (due to the nature of the selection, you can vote for more than one) and we'll consider the results when selecting the final designs.
More info is in our 4-5 monthly news issue
Note that some of the desings are in a concept stage, so vote rather for the idea than for the exact implementation.
You can also post your suggestions in this thread in addition to your vote

Depends on how many contributors we'll be able to attract. Currently we're two people and that's too little to make a lot icons in short time span.

Yep, though in case of icon names/usage there shouldn't be any major changes. Luckily enough people are following the icon naming specs pretty well.

I am sure the theme will make its way into Fedora sooner than F13, as we have Echo right now. But if it will be ever a default, this is a different matter and not depending only about its completeness. Is a matter of quality, of desired look and feel and even organizational politics.

I'm really pleased to see these ideas, and I commend all involved for their work (I must admit, I was not pleased with the tilted 3d images used in the last proposal...)
I'd like the icon set to be simple and minimalist. I think this would be consistent with Fedora's "look" (as established via previous themes and icons). Thus, I FAR prefer, for example, user-trash-luya over user-trash-mso... (It is clear that user-trash-luya is a trash bin; the stripe in user-trash-mso contributes absolutely no further information.)
