Creative X-FI

Hello,
i know that in december creative finaly gave in and opensoursed their x-fi drivers.
does anyone know any good links to keep track of the progress? or just what kernal version you eiether know or expect them to appear in?
its the only piece of hardware that doesnt work out of the box on my system.

Are you using the PCI card or the USB spdif/headphone amp?

i dont know but there are drives for Linux on Creatives page ..if you wanna know how to comple them etc for your linux Search for Creative X-Fi thread i think markkuk posted in this thread .. i'll try an locate it

thanks i will have a look at that thread once you have located it

did you mean the driver here ?
if so it says its an unsupported driver.

or did you find a more up to date driver elsewhere?

yeah i mean that driver. Alsa may have it working in 1.0.19 . i'll keep on looking for the thread
