Audigy 2 ZS FC2

I'm using Fedora Core 2 with an Audigy 2 ZS. The OS recognizes the card, and loads the proper modules, but XMMS won't play anything, saying I should check the configuration of my card. Rythymbox says that the card is in use by another program, but lsof says none of the pcm/dsp devices are being used. The ALSA emu10k1 driver is being loaded (the same driver SUSE 9.1 uses, which works), no sound servers are running, and I'm using the ALSA output plugin in XMMS.

It sound a LOT like the problem I'm having since FC2 Test 3 (now on FC2 final). See my post here:

I still have no responses. I am wondering if there is some way to choose a different sound driver. I used to just use Harddrake in Mandrake (I've been using Mandrake for years now) but Fedora doesn't seem to have an equivalent where you can just pick from a list of drivers, switching from ALSA to OSS if necessary.

It seems most people who have this type of problem have some sort of Audigy or SB Live! derivative card.
