Getting WINE to recognize a CD-ROM on Fedora 10

I have a Fedora 10 (x86_64) box with the latest version of WINE that the repository has: wine-1.1.0-2.fc10 (i386). I am unable to get WINE to recognize my CD-ROM device. I've gone to the WINE Configuration and created a drives linked to the block device /dev/cdrom and /media . When I try to run an application (in WINE) such as Rosetta Stone and try to add a language or try to play Age of Empires II and III it doesn't list the disc or it reports that it is not there. To try to eliminate as many variables as possible before asking for help, I have reinstalled WINE and removed the .wine directory from my home directory. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try the following:
-Insert a CD-ROM
-Open terminal
-type "df"
-look which line defines the CD-ROM contents. I.e., after inserting a cd with 'knoppix', mine showed the following:
/dev/sr0 714208 714208 0 100% /media/knoppix
This shows that the real address for my cd-rom device is "/dev/sr0"
-copy the real address (whatever it is in your PC) into the WINE configuration program.

And check whether it works. Good luck!

Insert the CD/DVD disc and let it be auto-mounted in fedora first, then run 'winecfg', select the 'Drives' tab and click the 'Add' button. Then type the full path to your mounted disk in the /media directory (or use browse), then click 'Show Advanced' and change the Type to 'CDROM', then click 'Apply' and 'OK'
