SDHC on FC7

Hello Gurus,

I have FC7 with a multi card reader which worked fine for my 1GB SD card...alas that card has gone to the graveyard which made me buy an SDHC 4GB card and now when I plug it in, my FC7 will not even recognize it to mount it...the green light comes on solid when i plug it in to the multi card reader but that's about it...no output to cat /proc/bus/usb/devices or tail -f /var/log/messages when i plug it in. I've read a bunch of threads about this but no solid answers yet...any ideas?

i had to get a special sdhc reader as the old 10-in-one readers only do normal sd i've found.

the sdhc reader i got works fine on fedora 7/9/10 with 4gb cards (and also 1-2gb regular sd cards).
