PATA Raid 0 Not detected

I have a MSI K8N Neo Platinum motherboard which is a Nforce3-250 chipset.

I am using a Raid 0 array using two western digital IDE drives.

Fedora sees both drives phisically being there but
does not detect the array and I can only select hda when using manual disk druid.

It gives the not aligned error thing.

The striped array is setup as following
10G FAT32/DOS
10G FAT32/WINXP
10G FAT32<---This is where I want Fedora
120G FAT32/NO OS

WinXP works and sees everything fine.
I used System Commander to set up the partitions

Linux and RAID arrays have only ever worked for me once with Mandrake 8.0, I am using a different system since then, but overall I am really frustrated with RAID only seeming to work with windows.

I really want to get Fedora working, but I havent found anyone with this kind of problem as everyone is dealing with the SATA raid stuff.
Can anyone help me?

Is there any way to dumb down the detection of the harddrives so that the OS can only see what the bios wants it to see? I think that is how I got the Mandrake installation to work.

Of note, when I pass hdb=noprobe the align error does not come up.

hda shows 2 partitinos DOS/16 and Free space.

Could this problem be all system commanders fault?

I am using an older version.

Cool Installing FC2 on PATA RAID0 SIL0680

Hi,

I am unable to install FC2. The controler is SIl 0680 PATA configured in RAID0 with 4x 80 MB Seagate disks. Windows XP is installed and I have 3 partitions left for installing FC2 :
1°) a 120 MB ext2 in the all beginning ( intended for /boot)
2°) a 30 Gb ext2
3°) a 128 swap

The FC2 installer is unable to detect the raid configuration.

any help would be very appreciated.
tahnx
