don't mount encrypted partition at boot time

I have made an encrypted partition but it always asks for the password for the partition during boot. I want to boot into the computer but not mount the partition at every boot. How can I make it not mount at boot time? I want to manually choose when to mount it.

take the one you don't want to mount out of your fstab
Gee Ricky, I'm sorry your mom blew up.

Edit your fstab file and remove that line that contains that partition. If your using the auto mount daemon then you will need to edit the "auto.master" file and any referenced file. Make back-ups before you edit.

No. If you're using Gnome, it will still automount. Change the options to:

    noauto,user

and it won't automount, but you won't have to be root to mount it.

Any advice in this post is worth exactly what you paid for it.
