Post fglrx-4.3.0-3.11.1 and kernel-2.6.8 works fine to me!

hi all,
i have always some problems when i want install ati drivers! When my drivers are (finally) ok... my redhat-alert-icon notify to me a new release of kernel! Oh damn'it! i must restart ati-drivers installation and its patches!
Now, from kernel 2.6.7 to 2.6.8 ati drivers work ok.
i have updated the kernel (2.6.7 to 2.6.8 with yum update).
reboot the system
in runlevel 3 (/sbin/init 3) i do:

cd /lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod
./make.sh
cd ..
./make_install.sh

and 3d are compiled!
wow!

I built my own 2.6.8.1 kernel for Fedora and didn't have to mod the drivers at all. It's really not that hard. Throw out your Fedora config and go through a "make menuconfig". You'll be glad you did.

This link is a lot of help.
