when you got the first sceen of FC2 instalation pres F2, F3, F4, F5 and read about aviable boot parameters... you need to type something as:
Code:
boot: linux noprobe
(but I don't exactly remember, just read instructions)
this will cause FC installer not to try to detect hardware (as it looks like it fails on detection, it is quite common) - you will do that manualy after install (it will be some some hassle but at least you will know what hardware is causing problems). if it does not help it means some other hardware component that has to be used (FE motherboard, disk controler etc.) dont like kernel 2.6... for me it is clearly a hardware problem. try googling about each your hardware part and Linux.

Arrow P4P800 asus motherboard reboots when installing FC2

You have the same problem as I had. The P4P800 series doesn't work with the original Fedora Core 2 disks. http://www.fedorafaq.org/#installreboot Here is a link that will show you how to work around the problem.
