XFX GeForce 6800 GT

I just got my new system today, Dell Inspiron 530, short of cash or I would have gotten an XPS. It came with the standard Intel 3100 on-board graphics, and a measly 300w power supply. Since I don't want to spend a ton on a great power supply and graphics card I ordered a XFX GeForce 6800 GT from TigerDirect as the Nvidia webtool shows it'll work fine with my power supply. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this card on F10 or F9, if so good or bad. BTW: I'm not a big gamer, I just like better than stock graphics and Compiz effects.

The kmod-nvidia and typical dependencies should work fine for you. Install the RPM Fusion Repository....

Fedora 10.

ATI is a bit behind the game. Intel is actually very well supported. More so than ATI or NVidia is, as they are closed source drivers

The new integrated Intel HD chipsets, with a good chunk of system memory 4GB+, would actually be more than you need, for Compiz, and HD Videos, etc...

If I'm not mistaken, Intel actually makes the best integrated HD chipset on the market... They are the Industry leader in integrated graphics.

I'm not saying they are better than a good PCIE Card, but depending on your needs, a PCIE card may be overkill...

Just my 2 cents...
