how to remap joystick axes in F8?

I have a golive2 stix 400 3d wireless game controller and the axes 0 and 1 are for degree of rotation of twisting or bending the wrist. The gamepad x-y buttons are axes 6 and 7.

Games that use joysticks only seem to use axes 0 and 1 for x-y movement and no options to select different axes.

Is there a tool or configuration that I can use to re-map this joystick's axes 6 and 7 to axes 0 and 1?
