Browsing SMB share creates a mounted file system?

I'm using Fedora 9 x64. While browsing a Windows file share via SMB:// in Nautilus, does the system mount the share anywhere where I could access it in a terminal window? Or do I have to mount it separately in the terminal window?

Michael Cronenworth on fedora-list@redhat.com kindly provided me with the information I was looking for. I include it here for the next person who needs it:

SMB mounts in Nautilus are accessible in a terminal window at ~/.gvfs, or at /home/<username>/.gvfs
