[SOLVED] What are the livesys and livesys-late services?

Hi, on a fresh install of F10 I have two services running, livesys and livesys late.

What are these and what program has been installed that starts them?

Doesn't sound familiar to me, but you can determine what (if any) rpm it came from with:
Quote:
rpm -qf /etc/init.d/livesys
Substitute 'livesys' with whatever the filename is, shouldd be the same as the service name though.

Code:
[root@HP530 ~]# rpm -qf /etc/init.d/livesys
file /etc/init.d/livesys is not owned by any package
Code:
[root@HP530 ~]# rpm -qf /etc/init.d/livesys-late
file /etc/init.d/livesys-late is not owned by any package
Code:
[root@HP530 ~]# chkconfig | grep livesys
livesys 0:off	1:off	2:off	3:on	4:on	5:on	6:off
livesys-late 0:off	1:off	2:off	3:on	4:on	5:on	6:off

Nick is right, those files appear to be part of a live-cd image, for providing persistant overlays.
It seems like you can safely remove them after an install-to-disk from the little bit I read.

I did install from the live cd. I will remove them will chkconfig --del livesys etc. Probably no need to turn them off before doing so.

Thanks for the assistance.
