Wireless card 'wifi' light flashing with network traffic

I have a Precision M2400 and a Latitude D630. The Precision has the intel 5300 wireless card, and the Latitude the 3945 card. Both are installed with F10, and both are doing this.

Whenever they are connected to a WAP and receiving or transmitting data, the WIFI light on the laptop (that is supposed to just dictate if the card is on or off) flashes as traffic is detected. It is annoying as all get out. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, how do you stop it?!

Thanks!

Yep mine is doing that too. I have a Dell M6300 and the Intel 3940 wifi card. Please let me know if you find a fix for this. Also running F10

there are some hacks out there to make it better, but I haven't seen one yet that just always works.
