Dosbox & Fedora 10-arrow keys don't work
I just upgraded (using preupgrade) my working Fedora 9 32 bit setup on my laptop to Fedora 10. The upgrade went very smoothly, and everything appeared to be working. I did, however, encounter this problem.
I have Dosbox installed to run a couple of DOS programs, one of which is Professional Point. It previously ran well. I started it to check it out, and found that I can't use the keyboard to navigate as it will not respond to the directional arrow keys. It did before the upgrade.
Has anyone else encountered this? If so, is there a fix?

I found the answer. I had to edit the DoxBox config file for the program and change usescancodes=true to usescancodes=false.
I took a guess at this after finding this page below, and it worked.

You should have a default dboxconf file in your home directory. I have modified a couple of them specifically for programs I have run. Once you set up your drive directories, you can also add the paths for them into the autoexec section at the end.
You may also wish to execute:
man dosbox
I don't know how familiar you are with DosBox and running of DOS programs in it so I am referring you to the basics.

Reason: File didn't get attached.

[hamish@localhost ~]$ find dboxconf
find: `dboxconf': No such file or directory
[hamish@localhost ~]$
I tried using the command "config -writeconf dboxconf" inside Dosbox and made the necessary changes to the file, but it still would not use the keyboard.
As to my experince, I have been using Dosbox to run DOS applications on Fedora for around two years now.

Please see the private message I sent to you. I am not sure what else I can suggest. What type of DOS programs are you trying to run? I have Professional Point, MealMaster, and New Deal Office set up, although I only use the first two regularly.
Have you checked out the README file in /usr/share/doc/dosbox-0.72?

Okay, I got it working. I had to load Dosbox and type this:
CONFIG -writeconf dosbox.conf
