FC10 on a Imac G3

I've got a old g3 Imac laying around that I was wanting to put Fedora on, however when I downloaded the ppc image and tried to install it (put it on dvd, put in drive and held down the c button when it was booting) it won't boot from the DVD, it just goes straight do the apple load screen. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong or a work around for this? Thanks.

Your DVD is bad. Maybe your image is defective. Check with md5sun.

Or maybe the burning process is defective, try to burn the DVD at slow rate.
