network manager icon

Alright,

This is going to sound really stupid but my network manager icon has diappeared. I may have accidentally removed it when my screen resolution was REALLY low. I know that the applet is still running, because it is trying to connect to networks, and I can see it in the system monitor. I tried adding a "network monitor" to the menu bar, but that doesn't list wireless networks. I can manage my networks, but I can't connect to any! I also tried

$ nm-applet

but it gives me an error about it being already taken (probably because it is running). I'm sure there is a really simple solution for this.... anyone have any ideas?

I'm running fedora 10 on a toshiba P205 laptop with the madwifi driver.

Thanks

Did you by chance accidently remove the "notification area" in the top panel? Right click the top panel and select "add to panel", scroll down to the "notification area" and select it. Reboot and see if that brings it back.

Yes, it was the notification icon. I knew it would be something really simple, yet it was driving me insane.

Thanks!
