I have made a rpm for the new 64 bit plugin

su
yum erase flash-plugin nspluginwrapper* 
rpm -Uvh http://www.linux-ati-drivers.homecall.co.uk/flashplayer.x86_64/flash-release-1-2.noarch.rpm
yum install flash-plugin

It should work for F12 or higher

I installed this version. It is so new that youtube does not recognize it. I get the message:
"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player."

Well I have a newer version now, these guys at youtube are so dumb.

I should have read more carefully your package is for fc9. I am on F10 now.

I switched to:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/l...6_64.so.tar.gz
and this one works for youtube.com on F10.

The package is generic i.e it should work on any version ( it only say fc9 because I forgot to remove %{dist} from the spec file )

The link you posted is the same file unpackaged

I get a segv when playing a TV show using hulu (the initial 30 ad works, but it faults as soon as it cuts over to the feature).

If you can provide debuginfo, I can provide a traceback.

This is for Firefox 3.0.4 / Fedora 10.

I never had the source code for flash so there is no debuginfo package ,

Bug reported to Adobe. Hopefully they'll fix it.

fwiw, i downloaded the plugin directly from Adobe and it worked fine.

then:

tar -zxf libflashplayer-10.0.d20.7.linux-x86_64.so.tar.gz

and:

su -c 'mv libflashplayer.so /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins'

youtube works. but I haven't tried much else with it.

The rpm works with opera, as for java I don't know .

it gave me this...

My bad, I forgot the 'v' in:

tar -zxvf libflashplayer-10.0.d20.7.linux-x86_64.so.tar.gz

Thanks a lot for packaging this! That's really helpful.

When I install the RPM and load www.gmail.com, firefox segfaults. When I remove the RPM, the segfault goes away (but of course flash goes away too).

$ rpm -q firefox
firefox-3.0.4-1.fc10.x86_64
$ uname -r
2.6.27.5-117.fc10.x86_64

When I run it from the command line with the RPM installed and visit gmail:

$ firefox
/usr/lib64/firefox-3.0.4/run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 14593 Segmentation fault "$prog" ${1+"$@"}

If I go to the "Older Version" of gmail the segfault doesn't happen. I can play youtube and cnn.com videos without any problem when using your RPM. Do you have any ideas? Has anyone else had a problem with gmail and the new flash plugin? This works fine on my laptop, which is also x86_64.

With the RPM installed, this shows up in my about: plugins
