Volume control with keys

hi,

first i would like leave a congratulation to the whole fedora team for your work.

yesterday i installed FC 10 on my new fujitsu siemens notebook and the whole hardware was working without any manual configuration or required additional driver (modules). the system is working fine - you did a good job.

today i found a little problem. maybe one of you can help me: when i try to adjust the volume with the FN+F3, FN+F4 or FN+F5 keys, i get in to troubles. for example:
i press FN+F5 (higher volume). i get on the screen a volume control display (it is the same i get when i change the display brightnes) and the volume is increased by one. so thats OK. but one second later (i don't press any key at this time) the volume goes up to 100% (full volume power). a few second later, the volume control display will be hided. the main problem is now: i can not enter any menu from the 'start bar'. it is not possible to select any options like logout or start an program. only the icons on the desktop are working - so i can open new gnome file browser sessions, but that's all. pressing CTR+ALT+backspace is working - but not my favorit solution.

i did not found any solution via the search function in this forum. is there another user who has a problem like that? is there an option to turn off the volume control display?

thanks for any help.

i have installed FC10 with all recent updates (until 28.11.2008) and i am using the following hardware:

Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pi 2530 / BU2 Pi 2530 DE BTS07
