Fedora 10 and Network manager read only connection

Hello all guys,

yesterday I've installed Fedora 10 on my laptop (an HP Pavillon dv7), everything so far so good but I've having a few problems with Network manager or in general with network configuration

I've already checked this post http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=205189 (thanks Alepth!!!!) and that in part solved my problem or at least gave me an idea of what was going on as I'm using a static IP, -1 poin to me as I'm used to CLI and try to avoid GUI as much as possible but this time I did not , but the main problem still exist I can't modify the network configuration using NetworkManager

When I try to edit properties for my Ethernet connection everything is greyed out, of course I double checked that the connection is managed by NM but this did not solve anything I even tried to delete the connection but I just get an erorr sayin "Can't delete read only connection", now I know I can manage the connection through the cli and configurations files but as I'm switching from static to dynamic configurations pretty often (please don't ask why lol) and I would like to have a quicker way to do this than modify files everytime this happens...

Any idea and/or suggestion?

Thanks in advance, Obs.
