Hard drive not showing up

I installed Fedora 10 Preview on a system with a 250GB SATA driver. I then added a 500GB SATA drive. I used GParted to format the entire drive in a single NTFS partition, and labeled it with no Flags.

The drive is only visible within Gparted: it does not show up in any of the file browsers and it is not listed in FSTAB. WHen I plug in a portable NTFS drive through USB, it shows up immediately (and an entry is added to FSTAB).

What am I doing wrong?
