Sify Broadband Setup on Fedora9

Hi everyone,

I am a newbie to both Linux and Fedora. I was trying to setup Broadband connection on fedora without much success. It uses LAN and Ethernet card on my PC. I wanted to know how to change/setup the IP address, Gateway, Subnet masks, etc. I have all those details. Just wanted to know how to configure it(commands, etc). Also would like to know if it is possible to connect to internet without the software package provided from ISP(Sify). Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
