error: "Connection failed with error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED"

Yeah, so I've a HP Photosmart printer attached to my XP machine (192.168.0.1) and it networked (Ethernet) with a Fedora Core 2.

I need to print

I can set up the printer fine and it sees it and tries to print but I get no activity on the XP end. Then I notice I've got the error "Connection failed with error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED" in Fedora.

I have no clue where to start!

pc is running PCCillin, could that be it? I think I have allowed all traffic over the ethernat connection though.

anyone?

KEv

Try it with the Guest account. Edit the printer (System Settings > Printing), and on the Queue Type tab you should have a place for username. Enter Guest for username, blank password. Not sure if you need Guest account active.

Re: error: "Connection failed with error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED"

For me the fix was to enter the user as follow
Code:
 SERVER\username
I was printing to network printer shared on Windows 2003 Server.
