Terminal emulator

I am making a Windows to Linux convergence at the office, replacing workstations one by one so people can get used to the change. However, in windows we use a proprietary terminal emulator that emulates a TVI955 terminal connection. Connecting up to a telnet system where our database and data entrys flow to. Does anyone know of an Open Source TVI955 emulating app or shell that I could use to hook up to this? Thanks in advance.
