Hmm.

Does the wireless device actually work? can you view networks? click the network icon, it should have wired network and wireless networks. well my desktop does.

Can you try deleting the wireless from network? then try restarting the network, it could possibly be that interfering. not sure though. just a thought.

(System > Administration > Network > Hardware)

On that note, wireless should show as "wlan0".

[root@zak ~]# service network restart
Shutting down interface eth0: [ OK ]
Shutting down loopback interface: [ OK ]
Bringing up loopback interface: [ OK ]
Bringing up interface eth0:
Determining IP information for eth0... done.
[ OK ]

It works. Thank you very much!
I wonder if there is any explanation on this, shall we say, conflict.

Ok Great!

I'm presuming you need the wireless to.

If you ever need it back, go to network manager again, devices. then click new, then wireless connector. Your device should be listed, select it, then make sure mode is "managed" and not auto. network name, leave as auto, or specified depending on what you need, and the rest just do as it does. Then it might work better. it could have been that your wireless was trying to disconnect, and re-connect, when it wasn't connected in the first place. But I'm not sure. But glad to hear you got it working
