Installation problems with 8800GTX video card

Hi,

I'm new to linux and was trying to create a dual boot setup on my new Vista 32 machine. I created the boot DVD for fedora 9, started the installation, performed the verify media step, and then it goes to load up a driver for my nvidia 8800GTX video card and the screen goes blank and never comes back. I actually have 2 8800GTX cards currently installed in my system in an SLI configuration. Has anyone come across this problem before or have any suggestions on how I might get around this to complete the installation?

Very common problem for stock F9. If you can install in text mode, then update all software, it might help. Or get a re-spin from Fedora Unity with newer updates included. Search the forums.

P.S. Once you do get installed, installing the proprietary driver will almost certainly improve graphics. See the Guides and How-Tos forum.
