Update problems after new install

This is my second FC2 install. The first went perfectly from A-Z and after two weeks is still sweet. So I get encouraged and try again.

This time, install is still too easy. Really, never saw an OS install so smoothly and fast. But now It wont update. The little red beacon is flashing in the corner saying 94 updates are available but after a few minutes of trying to update it just gets in a loop. Is this a problem on my box or on the update server?

Try using yum: www.fedorafaq.org/#installsoftware

Open a terminal and do the following to become superuser (root):
Code:
su -
Then update using yum:
Code:
yum update

Thanks Foolish.
That seems to be largely working (there are a few "Damaged Header" errors). What is yum?
