A firefox problem puzzling me ! (or it is KDE ? Maybe Fedora ?)

Hi !
The context :
A laptop (Lenovo 3000 N200 with Intel Pentium dual core CPU) with Fedora 9 x86-64 and KDE installed.
On boot or login back into KDE, Firefox launches itself as it was running when I quit (end of session or shutdown), Firefox starts without knowing ANY plugin. It restores all tabs asking for most of them to download the plugin.
If I close Firefox and restart it, Bingo ! Here are the plugins !
Could you please tell me what's wrong ? What should I check ? Where could be the problems ?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help !
P.S. All packages are up to date.

It's a conflict between firefox's and kde's notion of session management. In short, ff doesn't "just work", it requires a handful of env vars set in /usr/bin/firefox script to work properly. See also:

Thanks a lot for the explanation.
I'll wait for a solution.
Have a nice day.
