Hello All;
I love using linux...I have just installed Fedora 9. I used Fedora in the past when I was younger it was Redhat. Anyways, I am trying to get back into it.
I have a BFG Tech Geforce 8800 Ultra OC that they don't make anymore. With the stock install of Fedora, I get two mirrored screens. I con not span as the video card selection on the GUI is non-operational. On the previous screen hardware, the monitor and card are identified correctly.
Following another post, I use yum to get the nvidia driver. It installed fine. However, now I only get the primary screen to show something and the secondary does not recieve an input. as before I can not enable desktop spanning because of the GUI issue above. The strange thing now though is that the hardware tab has unknow/generic for both the card and monitor. I am wondering if I should use the old original install kernal and try to edit xorg.conf or if I should use the new kernal with the nvidia installed. Any help/walkthroughs would be great
Thanks All
