Deluge optimization

does anyone know how to optimize download speeds for Deluge? I've tried a couple ways of messing with the maximum speeds, but I have seen people downloading large files rather quick (as far as torrents go) in XP on other clients.
Thanks in advance.

Deluge uses the same script regarding trackers and seeders/leechers as utorrent which is a very popular p2p application for MS win. Now, it has something to do with the maximum half-open TCP connections that MS win is blocking, something that does not stand on unix.

i recommend:

maximum 400 global connections
maximum 6 upload slots
80% of your total upload bandwitdh as upload limit
and -1 as download limit

BTW, i use deluge on my laptop, connected via broadcom wireless NIC using B43 driver, my line is 24mb-6mb and i usually max it out.
So it is probably a tweaking issue. Also make sure you open all the ports in the iptables.
