Which is the best 3D game for fedora 2?
HI,
I am having TUX RACER and the 3D graphics is really fantastic! I like the graphics better that any games in Windows.
I now want to know which is the best game for GNOME/KDE and should be a 3D game and also be downloaded for free. Are there any?
More that playing the game I like to see the power graphics/animation of games on Linux!
Thanks.

My current favorite is Neverball. It's a puzzle-kind of game where you're supposed to get a ball from one side of a level to another by moving the level, not the ball. Once you get a hang of the technique, it's really fun. Available as rpm from newrpms.sunsite.dk I think.

Tuxracer is pretty cool. I always use that game to test if my OpenGl is working with Direct 3d Rendering.
But I must say my favorite game is Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault. I know its not free, but it owns.

I quite like the Mutant Storm demo...
Check out Mutant Storm at http://www.pompom.org.uk/ - you can download the demo version for free, though sadly the current demo limits you to 6 mins of gameplay (the older demo version I have lets you play for an unlimited time).
I seriously considered buying this until it became clear that Linux is only a secondary platform for Pom Pom - the Level Editor for Mutant Storm is *only* available for Windows and the ability to use those levels was added to the Windows version first and the Linux one later. A shame really, because the game really is pretty good and would have got my $20 if they'd have supported Linux as much as they do Windows.

Unreal Tournament. It's commercial, but the demo is good.
This is of course a matter of personal preference.
Moved to Linux Chat.

America's Army is fun
RTCW rules
Unreal Tournament is a blast
Quake (any of them)
Chromium is a nice time killer and much less gay than Tuxracer though it's not really 3D
Foolish...a buddy of mine was talking about neverball today also...I'm going to download it now and check it out...thx

Free ones would Be ET and AA, great free commercial quality first person shooters. I also like Neverwinter Nights, UT2k4 and am eagerly awaiting Doom3.
