So your machine boots and just refuses to start X? You get the messages in startup process? Any error messages? Post error messages if they occur and tell a little bit about your hardware configuration...

ok.
I have a celeron 450mhz with a 30 GB HD. the first 15 gigs is a fat32 partition with windows XP. ATI Rage 128 video card. Right after the "Welcome to Fedora. Press 'I' to enter interactive startup" message occurs, when it would usually switch over to a graphical display, the screen goes blank. I wait for a few minutes. I pressed CTL+ALT+BACKSPACE to kill the X server and it shows the old style text login screen for a second and then goes blank again. I don't get it. I used the graphical install.

I got it to work. I just reinstalled FC2 and selected the "standard 1024x768" display. It booted right up at 1024x786 resolution. I was then able to change the monitor settings in KDE.

I got mine to work too (http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19699). I took out the PCI graphics card (don't really need it). I did the text install since I only have 128MB RAM (see the release notes ), this was much quicker; on the previous graphical install I did it kept complaining about not being able to read the CDs, but I think this is because it was running out of memory.

I now have working FC2 system Now to think of something to do with it
